Zachary Mercier PT, DPT
Zach is the acting clinic administrator at Salem Sports and Rehab. He graduated from the University of New England with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 after completing his undergraduate studies at UMASS-Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. He has a passion for providing high-quality physical therapy services to the Greater Salem community. Zach enjoys treating patients of all ages including young athletes, weekend warriors, and the active older adult population. He provides an individualized treatment approach to ensure that each patient is able to achieve their maximum potential while under his care. Zach truly believes that building a personal relationship with each patient is pivotal to their success in the clinic and long term. Zach’s clinical interests include treating shoulder and knee pathologies, general orthopedics, post-operative care, and functional training. He has taken multiple continuing education courses including Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars focusing on manual therapy techniques, Kevin Wilk’s Advances in Evaluation and Treatment of Shoulder and Knee Disorders, along with Evidence in Motion’s Functional Dry Needling Level 1 certification, and the University of Tennessee’s Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR-T) certification.
Zach resides in Southern NH with his wife. He enjoys golfing, dabbling in home renovation projects, spending time outdoors with his wife and dog, and enjoying time with family and friends.

William Gould, PTA, COTA
Bill Gould graduated from NHTI Claremont, NH in 1993 with his associates in Physical and Occupational therapy. Since then Bill has worked in outpatient PT facilities focusing on orthopedic sports injury and surgical repairs. Bill has taken numerous courses for manual techniques for a wide variety of conditions. In his spare time Bill enjoys running, working out and time with his family.
Certifications and Specialties:
Graston technique, kinesiotape technique, sports injury rehab, post-surgical rehab and work-related injuries.
Julie Cowles, Office Manager
Julie joined Sports and Rehab in 2018 as an Office Assistant and has since been promoted to Team Lead. Prior to joining our team, she was an active Mom raising her 3 children for 16 years. Prior to being a stay-at-home Mom, she worked in Boston as a Program Coordinator DMV Headquarters. Despite taking a career break, she enjoyed being involved and volunteering weekly in the schools in her district.
Julie is divorced with 3 adult children. She enjoys her free time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking, the gym, biking and walking. She loves spending time at the lake in the summer. She hopes to have grandchildren someday.
